What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, even if you're enrolled on OMNIA - Telemedicine and Me

I have been talking to brokers about telemedicine for months now. I have been telling them to check out the app, think about the convenience, etc. The tired examples normally involve some version of a sick kid in the middle of the night and a weary mother trying to avoid the ER. Enter my vacation telemedicine story to save the day!
Picture this - girl's weekend in Vegas. We have been planning the trip for weeks with a variety of shows, clubs, dinners, cool outfits - the whole deal! I get there and my eyes are inflamed, red, and about to be swollen shut. Who knows if it's the climate, the altitude, or some random allergy attack- whatever it was, it was ruining my trip.

So I plan to fix it the best I can in the hotel room before we go out. Can I fix it with makeup - no. Can I steam it out with a hot shower - didn't work. Can I buy some sort of eye drop - had them and they didn't work. What now? Light bulb goes off - try that telemedicine I am always preaching about back home.
So, I whip out the app and am talking to a live doctor in less than 90 seconds. She runs through some questions, understands my situation, and says we should try some medicated eye drops that she can have called in to the CVS around the corner. She tells me if it doesn't work, to call back, and we can try something else. I run down to the CVS with the girls, pick up the eye drops, and pop them in my eyes back in the room. Immediately it felt better, and after about 20 minutes all redness and swelling were gone! I put on my makeup and out we went!

I am on an HSA, so the cost to me is $39 for the teledoc appt. The drops were about $20. Having telemedicine save my vacation...priceless!!
